Getting Ready for Halloween

Posted by Simply, Rosalyn On October - 30 - 2009

I took Alyssa shopping for her Halloween Costume this morning. It took us three tries until she finally said yes to her Butterfly dress. She originally wanted the Wonderful Witch but the dress was kind of short and I was thinking it might be called during the trick or treat. We opted for the purple one with wings. I got her new shoes and black tights to match the outfit. I ended up spending over $50.00! I could have bought a really nice holiday dress for that at Macy’s. Gosh…

After she put it on and I took pictures of her, I thought she looked so cute that I forgot ow much it cost me. Here she is! This photo is another of my RAW photo collections and also today’s Project 360.

Finally!!!

Posted by Simply, Rosalyn On October - 29 - 2009

After almost seven years, I finally am now a citizen. It’s been long overdue. If not the need to have someone take care of Alyssa, I probably am still an immigrant. Rolly was asking me how I felt on our way to the oath taking and I kept telling him the same thing: I don’t feel any different at all! After the Oath and watching/hearing God Bless the USA, that’s when I finally came to my senses. And I actually am very happy like everybody else on the ceremony to be given the same privileges as those who are already citizens. It is in fact very liberating!

I will be posting some pictures later today taken after the ceremony. If you ave questions on the procedure, you can use a very powerful and simpe search engine called QueenTorrent. Withfree torrents and helpful ones, you can find answers to almost everything.

Classic Cards Are In!

Posted by Simply, Rosalyn On October - 28 - 2009

Personalized holiday cards are just the best way to send your Season Greetings to family, friends and clients. HolidayClassics.com offer great prices for the cards you need for the holidays. I love their layered look, they sure represent my style. Rolly in the other hand is going crazy about their “embossed” selections. They have everything including budget cards to help you save money for other extra gift items you might find on their website. I am telling you, they have a lot of choices and they are great stuff too!

I was not able to post for my project yesterday. I was so busy with my book because my 20% off is almost here and I want to avail of it really bad. I am posting this photo I took of Alyssa for her babyGap casting call.

Project 360: Hello Fall!

Posted by Simply, Rosalyn On October - 27 - 2009

I didn’t do much today. This morning after cleaning up the car, we pretty much stayed indoors. Tomorrow is the start of the official cold season already as per Jackie. Let’s see… the weather was a little unpredictable lately.

Fine Holiday Cards

Posted by Simply, Rosalyn On October - 26 - 2009

Well, the holidays are coming up! Thanks Giving is almost here and Christmas too is fast approaching. I seriously should start looking into holiday cards. One that is very elegant and I want is personal because I send cards only to family and close friends. I heard Birchcraft offer high quality cards. They specialize in Wedding Invitations however, they also take pride on their fine Holiday, Announcements and various invitation cards. I also love the fact that you can order promotional products like mugs, cups, pens, and also stamps and forms used in businesses.

Hopefully I can figure out what the style I want before the weekend. I don’t have to wait for two weeks, I want to mail them in now or it will be too late.

Waste Management Software

Posted by Simply, Rosalyn On October - 26 - 2009

I didn’t know even waste management businesses have their own software too. When I heard of Waste Management Software, I thought it is for something else. I soon realize that it is an intricate program providing latest information relating to the service without the need to hassle the managers with many phone calls wondering when the truck is going to turn up. They even offer GPS Truck Tracking to locate exact locations of the drivers. Amazing how technology has come a long way giving business owners the flexibility not only the services they provide but also to cut on the company cost.

Something Interesting

Posted by Simply, Rosalyn On October - 26 - 2009

Have you heard of www.CallerIDFaker.com? While reading one of my friend’s article about how to handle a cheating partner, she mentioned about this CallerIDFaker. A lot of readers left comments about it. I too find it very interesting.

Moving on, I know it is 12 already and we just finished watching Year One. Pretty funny movie. Before going to sleep, I remember that I still need to do my Project 360. And because I took really cute RAW pictures the other day, I will still be posting one of them today. This is a photo of my dear daughter putting on a lip gloss.

Project 360: Awfully Cute

Posted by Simply, Rosalyn On October - 24 - 2009

I just started shooting in RAW and I like it a lot. It just best suits me because of the fact that I do a lot of photo manipulation and adjustment. I learned that raw images are excellent format to work on because it has wider dynamic range.

Here is one of the images I took today in Costa Mesa using raw format.

Personal in Nature

Posted by Simply, Rosalyn On October - 24 - 2009

I rarely mention it but I am running a program on my site that tracks down my visitors including their specific IPs and locations. And last night as I was going over my stats, I have seen some familiar locations snooping into my blog. I just want to clarify things… this is a personal blog, more like a diary. The difference? The words I use are subtle and unoffensive. Believe me, I too can be a potty-mouth. However, I always try to maintain a graceful character. I try not to mention names on journals that express dislike – that is something I would never do. But if you think I am writing about you, then you may be right. I may not have the courage to tell people about what I really feel, but I sure do find ways to express my frustrations.

I am not wordy, I say it as I mean it. If you take offense in what you read, please don’t take it seriously. I too am human. Capable of feeling the same emotions as you do. If you say hurtful things to me, berate me, and make me feel lesser of a person; I don’t think twice, I usually turn my back and walk away. I ask: Would you not protect yourself from those who want to take away your self-respect. For when you let others manipulate and engineer you into someone that you don’t want to be, make you think that they are the mold that you have to conform to; might as well take away your individuality and personal identity.

I don’t want to be like anybody else, or walk a path that someone laid out in the open. Nor entertain the thought that they are the embodiment of success and accomplishment. I am my own self, and I will find my way in life. I acknowledge the fact that I am not perfect, and I may write words on this very blog that might disappoint you. But I am standing by my own conviction. That I am entitled to what I feel and no person can take that away from me.

Happy Birthday Papa!

Posted by Simply, Rosalyn On October - 23 - 2009

Today is Papa’s birthday. Well, it was celebrated yesterday in the Philippines because they are one day ahead of us. I am really not sure how old is he now, perhaps 63. I am not really sure. I called them last night to wish him a Happy Birthday. I don’t really have anything for him ’til probably December. Or hold on to it until March. Rolly assured me we can go for a vacation in March. I am pretty excited. I cannot wait to be with my FAMILY!

Talking about what I want to get for Papa. I saw this one great Craftsman tool set at Home Depot. It is called Multi-Tool for $100.00. He will like it. I know he deserves something way better but I will reserve that when I get a good paying job in the future. Hehehe! For now, I have to stay on budget.

We just got home just few hours ago. We spent our whole afternoon at the MovieHouse. We went to see Couples Retreat and Astro Boy (in order). The Princess can’t keep still on the first one but when we got to her movie, she was so behaved. Seriously, she reacted really good. She even teared up thinking Astro died at the end. It was her favorite movie. We tease her that she is Astro’s girlfriend.

Ok… here is my Project 360 pic for today. Alyssa adores this plant that I first thought was a regular flower. It turned up to be a big tree and the berry-like flowers were towering above me that I had to tip toe to take a picture of it.
