Weeks in Conclusion

Posted by Simply, Rosalyn On June - 24 - 2010

I haven’t blogged for so long since we started moving so I just have so many things to talk about. Not like you care about my ramblings – but since you are reading my journal, you might be curious about how I am doing. So I will be doing some random writing about things that I remember since the last time I got the chance to really sit around and blog. So here it goes…
Family first. My Mom just celebrated her 65th birthday on the 18th of June. Father’s Day was just three days after and my mom said they will be having cake to honor how great my Dad is. I am just so lucky they are my parents… the two people who I know will always love me unconditionally, lift my spirits up when I am down and will always be there for me no matter what. They provided me with great foundation and as mentors, they continue to teach me things I ought to know in life. In contrast with whatever is said about me, I am a good person because of them. I aspire big in life because of them. I dream to be someone because of them. I am what I am now because of them. I will be what I PLAN to be because of them. And if I have to say I owe someone, it is just proper for them to get all the credit. Read the rest of this entry »

Finally at Home in Fieldcrest

Posted by Simply, Rosalyn On June - 8 - 2010

I am blogging early today. I called-in because I woke up late and with body pains. I’ve been taking ibuprofen for the last couple of weeks and some over the counter cough medications and they’ve been working for a little bit. I think I just need time off to rest so I can replenish my energy. Jason Kory, one of our really nice patients said (that first week I was sick): “Rosalyn, I thought you are Superwoman!” Lol! I thought so too! But yeah, I am no longer hacking all over the place but I just am so tired… The last two weekends were not helpful either. We were busy running around town so I didn’t get enough time to sleep in. Next week, I am hoping that John will start doing closing. I don’t really mind pitching in every now and then but not too often. Don’t get me wrong, I love working. Its just that my situation is way far different from Dave nor John. They can stay as late as they can because they don’t have kids. Whereas I have a little one to worry about. Thanks to Rolly’s flexible schedule, we’ve been able to manage our time. On another note, we’ve moved in to our new home. We’re not settled but all of our stuff are at the garage, all in line to be placed where they’re supposed to. I might try to open some boxes after I wake up (yup, I am still planning on going back to sleep) to start the work. I want to go to Ikea tomorrow to buy some organizational stuff for the pantry and the kitchen cabinets. Rolly will be home early today so we can go to the furniture shop too. It’s been a long journey. And we managed to keep the faith alive. We made it… and I can’t thank Mama and Papa enough for all their support through the process. The only two people who never gave up and who always believed in us. And to Manong Resti for the encouragement only a person can get from a loving sibling. And to my dear Husband, I agree with you. Indeed, nothing tastes sweeter than self-redemption itself. This is NOT a wish come true. IT IS A GOAL REALIZED.

“Christmas came early for us this year. It did not come with a bow nor a fancy gift wrap, but it sure is one beautiful thing. To Mama and Papa, thank you for always standing behind us and for always believing in every decisions we make. We are in debt for all the support you have given — in all ways, shapes and forms.

It’s About Time

Posted by Simply, Rosalyn On March - 28 - 2010

‘Been so busy for the past two weeks but I am feeling pretty good about everything. Staying Positive: That’s what I always try to do every single day I get out of bed. There are those things though that one cannot avoid. Like work for instance, some words have been circulating about this and that and I know I am not supposed to be in the middle of anything. Seriously, that is the last thing I have in mind. But I cannot be judgmental about anybody… and I will still be nice and will talk to anybody who does the same way to me.  I believe in building bridges however I also think that if you OUGHT to close some doors then you should. For now, I will still be the same Rosalyn. Their business is not mine and if some of them decides to share it with me, the most I can do is listen.

Days with Rolly and Alyssa are great by the way. Yesterday, we took Alyssa to Macy’s and she picked up this cute Hello Kitty dress. I was a little skeptical because it looked long but when she put it on, it just looked perfect! I can’t believe she’s tall. Well, compared to the other girls her age at Chez Grand’mere, she’s one of the tallest. Terry, the manager said Alyssa is pretty smart and quite assertive. She is… you can’t win during a discussion. She always wants to win. Rolly would say: “Hay, kanino pa kaya nagmana!” Lol!

Last week’s Saturday and Sunday, we went to Rolly’s consulting in San Juan. Then we went to watch the Bounty Hunter. I didn’t like the story line at all! The only probable reason why we sat there and endured two hours of nonsense was because I like Jennifer Aniston.

Overall, everything is just fine and moving according to plan! Here are some photos from yesterday too.

Busiest Monday Ever

Posted by Simply, Rosalyn On February - 1 - 2010

We were hit hard today. Patients were coming in and out the door, some were even standing waiting to be called in. It was the busiest Monday so far since I started 6 weeks ago. I am just so glad the day is finally over. Tomorrow will be another day… I am ready for it. I just wish that days will go by faster.

Our weekend was a fun one. On Saturday, went to San Juan to pick up Rolly’s consulting check then drove around town. We also stopped by the park so Alyssa can play for a bit. I also tried to get some photos and here they are:

Sunday morning after meeting with Mike, we took Alyssa to our favorite buffet at the Choices in Pala. We had a really good brunch. I was missing that good Asian pork hocks they always cook though… so tender and so tasty!

What A Beauty

Posted by Simply, Rosalyn On January - 16 - 2010

We took Ortega Highway coming to Rolly’s consulting here in San Juan. It only took us 15 minutes from Lake Elsinore as we bypassed the congested 91 freeway. Actually, there are a lot of back roads once you get to know the area. For a long time, I thought the only way that connects the Inland Empire to OC was the freeway. Of course, I was wrong. These old highways that goes around the mountains, often called canyons remind me so much of Baguio. They offer great views of the city and if you get lucky, you pass by great lakes on places you don’t expect to see one.

Best of both worlds, that’s how Rolly describe this place. It’s closer to the city than most people think, yet feels remote enough as if you are living on the country side. The Cleveland Mountains are majestic… a bold backdrop that accents every community on the area. It is just a natural beauty…

The Memory Keeper

Posted by Simply, Rosalyn On November - 16 - 2009

I am finally done with my 6th photobook! It is 158 pages of premium paper, hard bound collection of great memories for the past months. I thought it will take for the publisher to print it for more than a week but I just got a confirmation stating that the book has been shipped via FedEx already. I am so excited! Here is a low resolution preview of the book…
