Waste Management Software

Life is Beautiful! Posted On October - 26 - 2009ADD COMMENTS |

I didn't know even waste management businesses have their own software too. When I heard of Waste Management Software, I thought it is for something else. I soon realize that it is an intricate program providing latest information relating to the service without the need to hassle the managers with many phone calls wondering when the truck is going to turn up. They even offer GPS Truck Tracking to locate exact locations of the drivers. Amazing how technology has come a long way giving business owners the flexibility not only the services they provide but also to cut on the company cost.

Something Interesting

Life is Beautiful! Posted On October - 26 - 2009ADD COMMENTS |

Have you heard of www.CallerIDFaker.com? While reading one of my friend's article about how to handle a cheating partner, she mentioned about this CallerIDFaker. A lot of readers left comments about it. I too find it very interesting.

Moving on, I know it is 12 already and we just finished watching Year One. Pretty funny movie. Before going to sleep, I remember that I still need to do my Project 360. And because I took really cute RAW pictures the other day, I will still be posting one of them today. This is a photo of my dear daughter putting on a lip gloss.

Project 360: Awfully Cute

Life is Beautiful! Posted On October - 24 - 2009ADD COMMENTS |

I just started shooting in RAW and I like it a lot. It just best suits me because of the fact that I do a lot of photo manipulation and adjustment. I learned that raw images are excellent format to work on because it has wider dynamic range.

Here is one of the images I took today in Costa Mesa using raw format.

Personal in Nature

Life is Beautiful! Posted On October - 24 - 2009ADD COMMENTS |

I rarely mention it but I am running a program on my site that tracks down my visitors including their specific IPs and locations. And last night as I was going over my stats, I have seen some familiar locations snooping into my blog. I just want to clarify things... this is a personal blog, more like a diary. The difference? The words I use are subtle and unoffensive. Believe me, I too can be a potty-mouth. However, I always try to maintain a graceful character. I try not to mention names on journals that express dislike - that is something I would never do. But if you think I am writing about you, then you may be right. I may not have the courage to tell people about what I really feel, but I sure do find ways to express my frustrations.

I am not wordy, I say it as I mean it. If you take offense in what you read, please don't take it seriously. I too am human. Capable of feeling the same emotions as you do. If you say hurtful things to me, berate me, and make me feel lesser of a person; I don't think twice, I usually turn my back and walk away. I ask: Would you not protect yourself from those who want to take away your self-respect. For when you let others manipulate and engineer you into someone that you don't want to be, make you think that they are the mold that you have to conform to; might as well take away your individuality and personal identity.

I don't want to be like anybody else, or walk a path that someone laid out in the open. Nor entertain the thought that they are the embodiment of success and accomplishment. I am my own self, and I will find my way in life. I acknowledge the fact that I am not perfect, and I may write words on this very blog that might disappoint you. But I am standing by my own conviction. That I am entitled to what I feel and no person can take that away from me.

Happy Birthday Papa!

Life is Beautiful! Posted On October - 23 - 2009ADD COMMENTS |

Today is Papa's birthday. Well, it was celebrated yesterday in the Philippines because they are one day ahead of us. I am really not sure how old is he now, perhaps 63. I am not really sure. I called them last night to wish him a Happy Birthday. I don't really have anything for him 'til probably December. Or hold on to it until March. Rolly assured me we can go for a vacation in March. I am pretty excited. I cannot wait to be with my FAMILY!

Talking about what I want to get for Papa. I saw this one great Craftsman tool set at Home Depot. It is called Multi-Tool for $100.00. He will like it. I know he deserves something way better but I will reserve that when I get a good paying job in the future. Hehehe! For now, I have to stay on budget.

We just got home just few hours ago. We spent our whole afternoon at the MovieHouse. We went to see Couples Retreat and Astro Boy (in order). The Princess can't keep still on the first one but when we got to her movie, she was so behaved. Seriously, she reacted really good. She even teared up thinking Astro died at the end. It was her favorite movie. We tease her that she is Astro's girlfriend.

Ok... here is my Project 360 pic for today. Alyssa adores this plant that I first thought was a regular flower. It turned up to be a big tree and the berry-like flowers were towering above me that I had to tip toe to take a picture of it.

Project 360: From Up Here

Life is Beautiful! Posted On October - 22 - 2009ADD COMMENTS |

I drove Alyssa to the lake today for a little walk. It is safe and I love the water. It is calming. The blue water is just so amazingly beautiful. The weather was nice too... not that cold. There were few people walking and a pair of couple at the walkway. Alyssa was busy gathering dried flowers and of course, I was taking pictures. Yup, you read it right. I have a new one for my Project 360. This is the picture of the lake from the mall. It is an elevated area so the picture is just perfect.

Final Phases

Life is Beautiful! Posted On October - 22 - 2009ADD COMMENTS |

I woke up early today still bothered by the fact that my word count is not working.  After the upgrades that I did and other troubleshooting, I still wonder why my platform is not working well as I want it to be. The only good thing that makes me feel better is knowing my permalink was fixed after last night's upgrade.

Moving forward, I am on my last phases of my new Coffee Table book. I have few more pages that needs editing, but so far so good. I hope to have it printed before ThanksGiving. I am not yet sure about the title but I am thinking of "Beautiful Memories" for now until I come up with something better. I am looking at at least 150 pages and here is one, a two page preview of the book.

Just Another Day

Life is Beautiful! Posted On October - 21 - 2009ADD COMMENTS |

It is getting really cold here in California and Rolly has to use his thermal pants when he rides the motorcycle heading to OC. Just another day for him at work doing his usual stuff. He did not get enough sleep last night looking at high availability solutions in case daily tape back up fails. I think that's one of his projects for this month. On Saturday, he might spend the whole day at the office. I will take Alyssa to the bookstore too to do some reading...

I have my usual cold weather allergies. Again. And my face is so dry like crazy. Even expensive and "clinically tested" moisturizer don't work for my very dry skin. However, just like anything else it will soon pass. And I am used to it. I mean, I grew up in the coldest part of the Philippines which I still consider to be much like San Francisco here in California (terrain wise). So I will manage, I sure can.

Moving on... I would like to share this Rose leaf with droplets of water taken at our backyard. Just to give you an idea of the changing season. Fall is in but we don't really experience real autumn here. No drama of falling leaves... I sometimes think we skip forward to winter right away. Then again, you don't see snow unless you go to the mountains too. But seriously, I want to know how it feels to take a walk at the park in the middle of autumn... when the leaves changed their colors and are slowly falling down as the wind blows. Just like in the movies. That would be awesome.

Project 360: Daisy Couples

Life is Beautiful! Posted On October - 19 - 2009ADD COMMENTS |

What can I say... I want to think that today everything went the way I wanted it to be. We beat the traffic heading back to Corona (from OC) so no stress whatsoever was involved with the commute. Alyssa did not behave well though... she barfed on her Dad while I was away. She always does that, I sometimes get frustrated sometimes. But knowing she is in pretty good health and slowly developing appetite just makes me feel better.

Anyways, as promised I am posting one more photo for my Project 360. Still taken at the beautiful Dos Lagos Lake, these daisies are actually small. But with the power of macro lens, I was able to magnify them 5x. They just look so pretty!

The Proposal

Life is Beautiful! Posted On October - 19 - 2009ADD COMMENTS |

Ok, I missed yesterday's Project 360. I am not really good in making promises. However, I will be posting one right now and another this afternoon to make up for it. But before moving on to that, let me tell you about The Proposal. It was out in DVD since the 13th but it was only yesterday that we were able to get a copy of it. I am so in love and just like her other movies The Lakehouse and All About Steve, I am just itching to have my own copy.

Ok, back to the 360 thing. This morning I am sharing you a photo of my Dear Brat taken at the Bally's in Vegas. She looks really cute and I love the unintentional lighting in the picture.

Little Princess

I will be quiet busy at 1:00 today but will be back this afternoon for another one. 'Till then!
